Terms and Conditions (Customer)

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and guidelines that govern the use of our storage services for StoreIT Customer. It is important that you read and understand these terms to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience. By using StoreIT, you agree to comply with these terms.

Customer Policy Guidelines

StoreIT's Responsibilities

  • StoreIT operates an online platform that enables Customer and Storage Host to match and arrange storage bookings. StoreIT is not the owner, landlord or property manager for any space leased by Storage Host on StoreIT's platform.
  • StoreIT acts solely as an intermediary for matching customer and storage hosts based on distance proximity, number of items and storage duration.
  • Storage Host and Customer understand and agree that their relationship with StoreIT is that of independent parties, not partners with StoreIT. StoreIT has no control over the conduct of Storage Host and disclaims all liability arising from such conduct.

Illegal items, drugs, weapons, and hazardous materials are prohibited.

Customer must not store prohibited items and must not use StoreIT as a platform for transporting illegal goods.

  • Animals, plants, or any other living things
  • Corrosive, explosive, or flammable materials
  • Any hazardous items subject to legal control

Storage of valuable Items

  • StoreIT advises Customer not to store valuable or irreplaceable items — including but not limited to cash, jewellery, important documents, or other high-value goods — in any storage space booked through the StoreIT platform.
  • By using StoreIT, Customer acknowledge that both StoreIT and the Storage Host are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of such items. We recommend that Customer use professional, secure storage services designed for such items if additional protection is required.

Liability

  • StoreIT bears no responsibility for the loss, damage, or spoilage of stored items, regardless of the cause.

Items Storage Compliance Guidlines

  • Storage Host has the right to inspect the Customer's items on collection day and may reject any items prohibited. Do cooperate to ensure a smooth transition process.

Theft of Stored Items

  • Storage Host will not be held liable for the theft or loss of Stored Items if:
    • a police report is filed, and the authorities confirm evidence of unlawful or forced entry and
    • Storage Host has not contributed to the theft through negligence or intentional misconduct (e.g., failing to use locks or security measures provided at the Space)
  • Both the Storage Host and the Customer acknowledge that StoreIT is not responsible or liable for the theft or loss of Stored Items.

Insurance

  • StoreIT does not provide insurance coverage to Storage Host or customer.
  • Both the Storage Host and the Customer are solely responsible for arranging their insurance to protect against damages or losses, including damage to stored items or property.

Penalty Fee

Customer will be penalised if their items exceed the stipulated dimensions as stated.

  • $5 per item exceeding 10 cm in either length, breadth, or height
  • Penalty fees must be paid directly to the Storage Host

Security Seals and Packaging

  • Customer must ensure all items are securely sealed and not easily opened.
  • Label all items with your full name and phone number
  • Any failure to do so will result in Customer assuming full responsibility for any claims or disputes regarding tampering or item condition.

Transportation

  • StoreIT does not provide transportation services. All transportation arrangements must be made directly between the Customer and the Storage Host.

Upload Photo for Storage Confirmation

  • On Storage Check In Date, Customer must upload a photos of stored items to the StoreIT Telegram bot. This protects your interests in case of disputes.

Send Confirmation for Item Collection

  • On Storage Check Out Date, you must click “Items Collected” in the StoreIT Telegram bot as an indication of items received after storage duration.

4 Hour Offer Acceptance

  • If Customer does not accept the storage offer within 4 hours, it will be withdrawn.

Cancellation Policy

  • Outside of 7 Days: 75% of the full payment will be refunded for cancellations made at least 7 days before Storage Check In Date.
  • Within 7 Days: No refund will be provided for cancellations within 7 days of Storage Check In Date.
  • Stripe Processing Fees: 1% to 3% processing charge will not be refunded. Refunds may take 5-10 business days to reflect in your account.

Handling of Disputes

  • Any disagreement or dispute between the Storage Host and Customer must be resolved directly between the two parties.
  • StoreIT role is solely as a platform provider and does not include dispute resolution or mediation between users.
  • Both the Storage Host and Customer understand and accept that any private agreements they make do not override the obligations they each have under these StoreIT Terms and Conditions.
